2011 Annual General Meeting

At the Annual General Meeting, held in the Clubhouse on Thursday 24th February 2011, members accepted all the Council proposals with three exceptions.

The first counter-proposal was that the bar levy be raised from £20 to £25, this was voted through 29 votes to 26.

The second counter-proposal was that instead of ex-members being able to rejoin the Club by paying 5% of the current Entry Fee for each year they have been away, they should have to pay an Entry Fee equal to the annual fee paid by a Non-Playing Member (£152.38 for 2010/11) if they rejoin within 2 years of leaving. Thereafter it would be 5% of the current Entry Fee for each year since their resignation. This was also voted through.

The final counter-proposal was that, instead of adding a minimum age of 55 for qualification for Life Membership, that this category be discontinued, though the waiting list should still be honoured. This was voted through by 43 votes to 3.
